A header part can be used by several templates. A global font setting can affect many pages. A synced pattern can update its other occurrences. The Save review lists changed items so you can inspect what you are saving.
Use List View to understand nested Groups and Columns. Select the inner text block when changing text and the outer Group when changing the section layout. Check the public result after saving.
Settings → Reading chooses the homepage and posts page. A block theme's Front Page template can control the view at the main site address. If your page content is missing, inspect the template's Post Content block before rewriting the page. Set a homepage.
Undo can reverse an unsaved change. Resetting a customized theme template restores that template's supplied default; resetting Styles affects global style choices. They are separate operations. Preserve a backup or export before discarding a customization. Edit and reset templates.
